Actress Kristy Swanson is back on the scene, but this time she’s added ‘designer’ to her list of credits. Swanson launched aDRESSitGOLF a clothing and accessories collection aimed at the female golfer and has been busy promoting it around the country for the past year. Featuring made-to-order styles, aDRESSitGOLF designs can be worn on and off the golf course. On the television screen, Swanson recently finished shooting a movie for Lifetime and is in discussions for her next project. She is in talks for a ‘motorcycle themed’ film and is planning to be in front of AND behind the camera for a Memorial Day 2016 war film. Swanson was born in Laguna Beach, California and has been a successful actress for the past thirty five years. She’s best known for her starring role in the Twentieth Century Fox film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which remains a cult classic. Swanson has appeared both starring and supporting roles in films such as Hot Shots!, The Program, The Chase, Flowers in the Attic, and her most critically acclaimed role as Kristen Connor in John Singleton’s Higher Learning. Swanson has also appeared in the film adaptation of the comic-book The Phantom and played the girlfriend of Adam Sandler in Big Daddy. In 2011 the she was nominated by MovieGuide for a Grace Award for “Most Inspiring Performance” for her starring role in the film “What If…” Her TV credits include a long list of guest-starring television appearances in episodes of Just Shoot Me! CSI: Miami, Growing Pains, Knots Landing, Early Edition, Psych, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Television movies include holiday season favorite, A Christmas Wish, The Bouquet, What If…, Operation Cupcake with Dean Cain, A Lesson In Romance and Merry Ex-Mas. When this California beauty is not busy acting, you can find her cruising on her motorcycle, attending NASCAR races as a celebrity supporter or on the golf course playing in celebrity charity tournaments with husband and business partner, Lloyd Eisler who is a two time Olympic Bronze Medalist in Pairs Figure Skating and Member of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. A recreational golfer for fifteen years, Swanson was preparing to play in the Murray Bros. annual ‘Caddyshack’ Celebrity Golf Classic when her idea for aDRESSitGOLF was born. Supporting the troops are first and foremost on Swanson’s list when it comes to charitable efforts. In 2009 she teamed up with Dr. Phil as a Warrior Ambassador for the Iraq Star Foundation, which helped raise a substantial amount of money for plastic surgery for soldiers returning from duty with disfigurements. That same year, she joined Gary Sinise and his ‘Lieutenant Dan Band’ for a life-changing USO tour of Afghanistan, Germany, Kabul, Kandahar, Bagrahm and Letherneck. Additionally, Swanson spearheaded an episode of Discovery Channel’s American Chopper where a bike was built for the Iraq Stars Foundation to auction off. She’s done work with Snowball Express organization and participated in the 9-11 Ride, Boot Campaign Ride and Road 2 Recovery. Swanson is a member of the American Legion Riders Chapter #507 and attends several ‘medal of honor’ ceremonies for recipients. She currently lives in Valencia, California with Eisler and their 8-year old son Magnus.
