San-Francisco based Branches are back with a record about surrender, but also about the recognition that there is a right time and a wrong time to surrender, said the band. “It’s easy to throw in the towel when things get hard. It’s easy to walk out when our person stops making us happy. It’s easy to let the embers turn to ash, rather than putting in the work to keep them burning warm and bright. But the easy thing is very rarely the right thing. “After releasing their debut record Thou Art The Dream (2012), the band performed with Mutemath, DEVO, and Milo Greene to name a few. This new collection of songs utilizes every instrument in Branches’ arsenal – electric guitar and banjo, harmonium and synthesizer, tambourine and roto tom. Their follow-up album, White Flag, was released September 16th.
