On Thursday, June 24th, Tori Bates Smith gave birth to her third child, Charlotte Raine. The baby girl is 18th Bates family grandbaby and comes hot on the heels of two other June Bates grandbabies as Josie Bates Balka delivered Hazel Sloane alongside of husband Kelton, and Whitney and Zach Bates celebrated the arrival of Jadon Carl.

“Charlotte Raine is here in our arms, and we are praising God for giving us a perfect, healthy baby girl. She was born at 5:35 AM on Thursday, June 24th, measuring 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and 19 inches long.”
This part of Psalms keeps running through our minds, ‘O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endures forever!’”
The couple is especially grateful after a scary moment during the delivery.
“As with every precious life, God has been actively involved with little Charlotte Raine all along the way — but we felt His hands on us and His presence with us especially through her delivery. When our baby girl was almost here, her heart rate began to drop. In what seemed like a critical situation, the whole team of nurses and our incredible doctor worked together with us to deliver Charlotte safely and quickly. As is fairly common, the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck, but in this case, it was so tight that her oxygen levels were being affected. We are truly grateful that God showed His mercy and protected baby Charlotte. We are reminded of how fragile and priceless life really is, and we never want to take it for granted!”
Charlotte, the third child to Tori and Bobby Smith, has two siblings ready and willing to take care of their little sister.
“We’re so excited to bring little Charlotte home to meet her big brothers, Kade and Kolter, who have been eagerly awaiting their sweet baby sister. We can’t wait to watch our boys learn to protect, love, and care for sweet Charlotte. Our life and our family will yet again never be the same, and we could not be more excited to continue raising these kids to honor the Lord, enjoy every moment He gives us, and be prepared for the adventures that life brings along the way!”
