Nathan Bates capped off a romantic three-day, three-city, three-lake weekend getaway with girlfriend Esther Keyes with a breathtaking proposal. The stops included Esther’s home state of Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and wrapped up with the magical moment taking place alongside Conway Lake in Orlando, Florida.

Nathan Bates, the first son of Gil Bates to get engaged since Zach Bates proposed to Whitney Perkins eight years ago, thanked plenty of people who helped make the big moment a smashing success.
“[For the proposal plan] we first went to Welcome Lake in Pennsylvania, then to Norris Lake in Rocky Top, Tennessee, and ended at Conway Lake in Orlando, Florida. I have been praying and waiting for this moment, and I wanted it to be perfect for Esther! To be honest, I could have never pulled it off without help from my friend Bill Mott in Pennsylvania, my sister Erin who decorated the location in Tennessee, my sisters Alyssa and Carlin who decorated in Florida, and my friends Dan & Janie Drummond, who allowed us to use their car, boat, and house to create a magical evening!”
Esther added, “We are excited to start making future wedding plans! But at the moment, I’m trying to just soak in all of the joys of being Nathan’s fiancé!”
The newly engaged couple has yet to set a wedding date.
