Ever wonder what it would be like to be part of the Bates family? Join the 20th Bates contest winner as they meet the family and embark on a day-in-the-life of a Bates. From doing chores to riding horses, our lucky fan will quickly learn that while it isn’t always easy being a Bates, it sure is fun!

It’s that time of the year again and the Bates are ready to clean house! With a big family, Spring cleaning is no easy feat. Kelly Jo leads the project and tries to convince the kids to get rid of their old junk and used toys. But when Gil gets sentimental he may make a mess of the whole endeavor. And while the family is working hard at home, Chad is hard at work at his job at the metal yard.

It’s time to get cookin’! The Bates family is reunited once again to perform at an event very dear to their hearts, the annual Volunteer Fire Department Chili Fundraiser. As they wait for the married couples to arrive, Trace decides to get serious about his trick riding and enlists the help of Gil and Jackson to build a ring to practice in. Later at the big event, the family gets nervous about their upcoming performance. Without much time to practice, will they come up flat or be able to pull it together in time to hit a high note?

How does a family of 21 find enough clothes to last through the winter? Get ready for the Bates seasonal clothing switchover, where nothing goes to waste! In the midst of the chaos, the family is asked to sing at a bluegrass music festival… but can they all learn their parts in time?

Zach and Whitney’s baby is due in less than 2 weeks, but the nursery is nowhere near ready! Lucky for them, there are plenty of Bates to lend a hand. As Whitney’s due-date nears (and passes!) the whole family gets anxious to meet the newest addition to the ever-growing clan. Later, Erin shares surprising news with her parents.

Grandbaby Carson is turning 1 and the Bates are ready to celebrate! It’s Erin’s first time hosting the whole family at her house so she enlists everyone’s help to set up and decorate. But she quickly loses the boys to fun and games when Kelly Jo arrives with the party’s entertainment. And before the party starts, Katie and Josie hop behind the wheel for their first driving lesson under Kelly Jo’s watchful (and nervous!) eye.

The Bates household faces an unexpected emergency when a house fire erupts in the laundry room. The family investigates who is responsible for the fire and deals with the consequences. Meanwhile Kelly Jo spends some quality time with Michaela in Chicago, before they depart for Alyssa’s baby shower in Florida. Later, Kelly Jo reunites with Gil for Alyssa’s “Diaper Pounding.” Are they able to enjoy the celebration, or does the reality back at home put a damper on the all diaper fun?

It’s a trip down memory lane as Kelly Jo takes the whole family back to her hometown, Spartanburg SC, to continue her milestone birthday celebration! Kelly Jo turns back the clock, as she shows the kids the house she grew up in, her high school “alma mater” and introduces them to her childhood friends. Will the kids be surprised to learn more about their mom’s life before she had 19 kids? We’ll also check in with Alyssa and John in Florida, as they get ready for the arrival of their new baby!
