While everyone economizes to pay Reba and Brock’s tax bill, Van and Cheyenne fight about who controls the money in their marriage; Jake sells a banned substance at school.

Reba starts dating Dr. Morgan again, only to learn that he is not yet divorced.

Reba and Van buy Barbra Jean and Brock’s house so they will not become homeless, but Barbra Jean turns into a terrible tenant who sues Reba.

When Reba has laser eye surgery after wrecking Van’s car, Barbra Jean cares for reluctant Reba, who inadvertently insults Barbra Jean’s kindness.

If Reba and Brock can’t convince their court-ordered anger-management therapist that they’re one, big, happy family, they’ll have to spend another five years in therapy.

Reba’s high blood-pressure is a blessing in disguise when the doctor insists Barbra Jean stay out of her life for a few days; and Van decides to celebrate his fifth wedding anniversary to Cheyenne by renewing their wedding vows, but stumbles over the proposal.

Much to Reba’s distress, Barbra Jean turns Cheyenne and Van’s wedding into a schmaltzy, overblown nightmare; at the last minute, Van and Cheyenne call off the ceremony, and Reba passes out at the altar.

Reba’s hospitalized, and the family is devastated when she’s scheduled for emergency surgery; but despite doctor’s orders, she’s determined to save Cheyenne and Van’s marriage, even if it’s the last thing she does.
