In “Bringing Up Bates” episode 803, Zach Bates participated in the Bates family cook-off. Since the judges in the episode were quite young, we’ll let you be the final judge of how good it is. STUFFED MUSHROOMS INGREDIENTS
- 15-20 mushrooms
- 1 – 8 oz. package of cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup Italian Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated real Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Clean mushrooms and mince the stems
- Heat the olive oil in a saute pan
- When the oil is hot, add and saute the garlic, mushroom stems, salt, pepper and parsley
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese and Italian breadcrumbs. Stir in the sauteed mushroom stems and garlic mixture from your saute pan
- Spoon the mixture from your bowl into mushrooms
- Heat butter and mix in the Italian Panko breacrumbs. Sprinkle over stuffed mushrooms
- Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees
- Garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan if desired
