A Bates Summer wouldn’t be complete without a family vacation! This year the family is headed to an adventure resort on the rim of West Virginia’s New River Gorge. But as the family packs up for their getaway, Tori’s down in the dumps because Bobby won’t be joining her on this trip – or will he? Meanwhile, Carlin is extra excited to have her boyfriend Evan along for the ride. Now that their relationship is blossoming, Evan and Carlin sit down with Gil and Kelly Jo for a “large talk.” But will they get the greenlight to officially start courting? Later, Kelly Jo attempts to overcome her fear of heights during a Ropes course activity, while Bobby realizes that this vacation is the perfect time to ask Gil a very big question.

It’s 5 years strong for Erin and Chad, so to celebrate their 5th anniversary, the happily married couple takes a romantic getaway to where Chad first proposed to his true love! They take a stroll down memory lane and enjoy a carriage ride for two and other sweet surprises! Meanwhile, since Tori’s due date is quickly approaching, the family meet up to discuss a tentative plan for who will be headed to Nashville for the delivery! And later, Whitney and Zach’s son is turning 4! In honor of the occasion, the family heads to a pumpkin patch for some cupcakes and fun, festive family time!

Now that Bobby’s graduated from college, it’s a time of celebration, love and new beginnings! Before his big graduation party, Tori and Josie meet up with Bobby and his best friend Kelton for a few rounds of disc golf. As Bobby and Tori catch up and discuss their future together, Josie gets the chance to spend some time with Kelton. Is a budding romance on the horizon? Meanwhile, we catch up with Alyssa and John in Florida and see how they juggle two businesses, while raising a new baby and a toddler that never sleeps. And later, the Bates family reunites with Bobby’s family for his graduation party! Will the younger kids keep their manners in check for the occasion?

To celebrate Zach’s 30th birthday, the guys hit the road for some bonding time and fun in the mud! But in between four wheeling and skeet shooting, Gil gets news from Kelly Jo that baby Kade is on his way! As Tori works her way through intense labor pains, Kelly Jo and Bobby are by her side, but will the rest of the family make it to the hospital in time, before the birth of baby Kade?

The Bates head to South Carolina for their annual Thanksgiving tradition with Papa Bill and Mama Jane, and even Carlin and Josie’s boyfriends are on hand for the festivities on the farm! Now that Evan and Carlin are officially courting, will Josie and Kelton gather the courage to ask Gil and Kelly Jo’s permission to “officially court” during the trip? Meanwhile, Papa Bill recruits all the young men to help him finish building a barn, and Mama Jane enlists the help of Kelly Jo, Alyssa, Whitney, Carlin and the kids to help pick pecans and bake brownies. And Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without Mama Jane’s home cooked supper, where the family gathers around the table and gives thanks.

Tori and Bobby’s wedding might be behind them, but Kelly Jo isn’t slowing down! She’s finally getting eye surgery to correct her vision. But how will the Bates household hold up while she’s in recovery mode? Meanwhile, tis the season for love, as the family preps for this year’s “I Love You Day” festivities. Will the “growing old together” theme lead to some unexpected costumes? And will the single Bates boys finally secure a seat at the table for the couples’ dinner?
